Position Overview:
Northland Christian School seeks a dedicated and passionate Secondary Robotics Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will be deeply committed to fostering students' intellectual, emotional, and spiritual growth in grades 6-12, focusing on creating a nurturing and challenging environment that aligns with our Christian values.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Delivery:
- Teach high school students one or more subjects (e.g., English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Bible) in alignment with curriculum standards and school objectives.
- Physically able to move around the classroom to perform formative assessments and adequately facilitate small and large group instruction.
- Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
- Plans and develops an engaging, age-appropriate course of study in the classroom, adhering to educational best practices and curriculum guidelines.
- Utilize various instructional strategies and technology to meet students' diverse learning styles and needs.
- Consistently assess student achievement through formal and informal testing and use results to plan instructional activities.
- Maintain knowledge of research, developments, and best practices in education.
- Compile and maintain all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents as required.
Classroom Management:
- Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn.
- Manage student behavior in accordance with school policies and expectations, promoting a culture of respect, responsibility, and self-discipline.
Spiritual Leadership:
- Incorporate biblical principles into lessons, discussions, and activities, encouraging students to understand their faith more deeply.
- Serve as a Christian role model for students, demonstrating Christ-like behavior and attitude.
- A clearly articulated testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior, along with active participation in a local church.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, administrators, and staff to create a cohesive and effective team for planning and implementing instructional goals, objectives, and methods according to school requirements.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress, concerns, and successes.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required.
Student Support:
- Provide individualized support and encouragement to students needing extra help in certain areas.
- Assist students in developing strong study habits, critical thinking skills, and personal responsibility.
- Monitor students' academic and emotional well-being and refer to appropriate resources when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Education, or a related area from an accredited university (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 2 years experience as classroom teacher instructing Robotics or directly related content.
- Active teaching certification (state or national certification) is highly desirable.
- Strong background in Physics and education.
- Ability to teach Secondary Robotics
- Previous experience teaching secondary students in a classroom setting.

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
