Electronics Specialist

Job Overview
Northland Controls is a leading provider of electronic control systems, and we are seeking a skilled Lead Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing installation, start-up, and closeout of all jobs, assisting the Program Manager in design and scoping, and other tasks as assigned by the Program Manager.

Responsibilities

• Termination and testing of all devices with proper wiring configuration to ensure quality performance of system.
• Compliance with Northland's safety standards to ensure safety of self and others.
• All paperwork is turned in on time and filled out completely (example: vehicle log, timecards, field directives, service forms, etc.).
• Communication with Project Manager on delays, requirements, and general status of jobs.
• Daily logbook upkeep with customer requests, worked performed each day, job numbers, dates, and times, and tasks assigned to Senior Systems Technicians and Apprentices.
• Labor time entered into Virtual Timecard daily, with accurate job number and work description.
• Training of Technicians and Apprentices on Company policies, procedures, systems, and installation techniques.
• Confirmation of techniques understanding and adherence.
• All work performed to Northland standards and quality installation techniques practiced.
• Jobs run within each phase's estimate (example: wire pull, mounting, etc.).
• Complete closeout and turn-over of jobs to client and service department coordination.
• Accurate inventory of all parts for each project tracking and billing.
• Company provided equipment and tool maintenance.
• Notifying PM of team deficiencies such as performance issues, tardiness, and time off requests.
• Installation oversight by multiple crews, crews of 4 or more people, or multiple projects ensuring jobs stay on-track and within estimated quote.
