Job Mission
The mission of the GSOC Operator is to help safeguard the people and property of our clients. The GSOC is the primary point of contact for employees, customers, facilities, security officers, and other vendors for safety and security issues and inquiries. Customer service is a key element of this position.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and investigating alarms received from access control and video management systems
- Dispatching field personnel in response to alarms, emergencies, and calls for service; alerting emergency responders as needed
- Assisting personnel with access control issues
- Ensuring the timely communication of all major and minor events; notifying the appropriate response resources as directed by procedure
- Monitoring and maintaining life safety and access control systems
- Generating work order and maintenance requests according to GSOC process
- Conducting routine audits of readers, cameras, and other related devices
- Troubleshooting and facilitating problem resolution
- Ensuring the safety of employees locally and abroad by monitoring domestic and global events
- Preparing all required written reports, including but not limited to activity reports, incident summary reports, and all required logs
- Collaborating with Manager to identify process and quality improvements
- To work in compliance with the Company’s Health and Safety standards and requirements, with the safety of self and others in mind at all time.
Perform other duties and special project functions as assigned.

- Strong knowledge of computer operations and applications, including MS Office suite, Internet browsing, and the ability to quickly understand security systems
- Attendance and punctuality are essential and expected
- Ability to communicate effectively while multi-tasking

- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely over the phone and radio

Required Education/Experience
Must have a high-school diploma
Preferred Education/Experience
Security GSOC - 1 year
Physical Security - 1 year
Work Environment
This position works in a closed secure call center environment.
Expected Hours
This is a full-time position, 40 hours a work week.
Travel
This position requires no travel.
Work Authorization
Must be authorized to work in the country of employment.
