What are the responsibilities and job description for the EF Dental Assistant position at Northland Dental?
- We are open Monday-Thursday 8am to 5pm.
- Patient Preparation: Welcoming patients, preparing them for treatment, and reviewing their medical histories.
- Assisting the Dentist: Helping during procedures by providing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring the dentist has everything needed.
- Equipment Sterilization: Cleaning and sterilizing dental instruments and equipment according to safety and infection control protocols.
- Taking X-rays: Positioning patients and taking dental radiographs, ensuring images are clear and correctly processed.
- Patient Education: Educating patients about oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive practices.
- Scheduling Appointments: Managing the appointment calendar, scheduling patient visits, and confirming appointments.
- Maintaining Records: Updating and maintaining patient records, including treatment plans and billing information.
- Inventory Management: Keeping track of dental supplies and placing orders as needed.
- Administrative Duties: Handling billing and insurance claims, processing payments, and other front-office tasks.
- Emergency Assistance: Providing first aid and assistance during dental emergencies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 37 per week
