We seek a candidate with experience in engineering, making / fabrication, and / or computer science and a demonstrated interest in working with young learners in a rich, project-based learning environment. For the 2025-2026 school year, the full-time teaching load would consist of a combination of STEM based courses grades 6-12 and is a full-time position with competitive salary and full benefits.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree and / or CTE certification
  • 2-3 years of teaching engineering and / or computer sciences or related industry experience
  • Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong interest in design / engineering / CS education and providing students with diverse entry points to these fields
  • Familiarity and experience with some of the design and fabrication processes available, such as laser cutting, 3D printing, textiles, woodworking, CAD / CAM, welding, robotics, electronics, physical computing (such as Arduinos), etc.
  • Familiarity with some special topics in the design, engineering, and / or CS space

    The teacher plans instruction that supports every student in meeting rigorous learning goals by drawing upon knowledge of content areas, curriculum, cross-disciplinary skills, and pedagogy, as well as knowledge of learners and the community context.

    The teacher seeks appropriate leadership roles and opportunities to take responsibility for student learning, to collaborate with learners, families, colleagues, other school professionals, and community members to ensure learner growth, and to advance the profession.

    The teacher works with others to create environments that support individual and collaborative learning, and that encourage positive social interaction, active engagement in learning, and self-motivation.

    The teacher understands and uses a variety of instructional strategies to encourage learners to develop deep understanding of content areas and their connections, and to build skills to apply knowledge in meaningful ways.
