What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Science Teacher position at NorthPoint Christian Academy?
NorthPoint Christian Academy is looking for candidates for the 2025-2026 school year to be certified/licensed and have a passion for growing students. As a NorthPoint educator, you will be responsible for delivering high quality instruction in the content area of high school science. This will include Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Your goal will be to build strong relationships with all students that will allow them to grow both academically and spiritually. Candidates will need to be able to adhere to the schools' statement of faith.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning environment.
- Assess student progress through testing and provide individualized support.
- Utilize various teaching methods, including technology, to enhance student understanding of scientific concepts.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and improve curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Mentor students and provide guidance on academic and personal development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science Education or related field
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Familiarity with curriculum development and instructional design
- Ability to integrate learning technology into the classroom
