Job Title: Senior Estimator Commercial & Multifamily Construction

Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Estimator with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in preparing detailed estimates across all trades for diverse project types, including commercial, retail, hospitality, hotel, multifamily, and corporate developments. Proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff software is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
- Perform quantity takeoffs across all construction trades using On-Screen Takeoff software.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
- Prepare and present bid proposals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure alignment on project scopes and budgets.
- Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities in the bidding process.
- Maintain and update historical cost data and databases for future reference.
- Participate in value engineering processes to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in the construction industry, with exposure to various project types.
- Proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff software; familiarity with additional estimating tools is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes in NJ and NY.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with projects in the NJ and NY metropolitan areas.
- Familiarity with local subcontractor markets and pricing trends.
- Knowledge of BIM tools and other digital estimating platforms.
