Description
Northpointe is a Community Mental Health (CMH) organization providing services to individuals with serious mental illness, emotional disturbance, substance abuse disorders, and intellectual / developmental disabilities across Iron, Dickinson, and Menominee counties in the UP of Michigan. Northpointe itself was established in 1995 but has roots as a CMH dating back to 1964. Our presence can be found through remote emergency services, in school and home-based programs, and in clinical and residential home settings.
Job Purpose
We are looking for a passionate, driven individual to join our team as an Assistant Behavioral Analyst (BCaBA) within our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) department serving Iron, Menominee, and Dickinson counties. This role is offered on a full-time salaried basis and is based at our offices in Menominee, MI.
This position will primarily work within the Autism Program designing, implementing, training, and monitoring applied behavior analysis interventions but may be assigned to other appropriate clinical cases for the provision of ABA, including but not limited to developmentally disabled children and adults. The individual functions as part of an inter-disciplinary team and services are delivered both in an outpatient clinic setting and in-home. The Behavior Analyst Assistant will have responsibility for direct oversight of ABA services delivered by paraprofessionals

Essential Duties
- Conducts functional behavioral assessments.
- Develops applied behavior analysis plans and interventions
- Implement ABA plans and oversees the implementations of plans by paraprofessionals. Collects and analyzes behavioral treatment data, modifies treatment plans as needed.
- Trains parents, caregivers, and paraprofessionals in the implementation of ABA plans.
- Consults with and assist clinical staff regarding service delivery and coordination of clinical cases. Assists clinical staff in the development and implementation of effective People / Family Centered plans.
- Maintains timely and accurate client records and prepares reports in accordance with agency policy.
- Conducts comprehensive evaluations to children and adolescents resulting in treatment recommendations.
- Consults with parents, guardians, foster parents, schools, home providers, medical facilities and other community agencies regarding the placement and treatment of individuals receiving services.
- Provides liaison, consultation, and mental health education services for community agencies and resource persons.
- Implements clinical practice in accordance with principles of evidence-based practices and in particular ABA treatments.
