Tutor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and helping students achieve their academic goals. This role involves working closely with students of various ages, to enhance their understanding of subjects through personalized instruction and support.

Duties

• Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of students.
• Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in various subjects.
• Utilize learning technology and educational resources to enhance the tutoring experience.
• Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress and areas for improvement.
• Assist in curriculum development to ensure alignment with educational standards.
• Create a supportive and engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation.
• Monitor student performance and adapt teaching strategies as necessary to meet diverse learning styles.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.

Experience

• Previous experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly in a classroom setting, is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in utilizing learning technology tools to facilitate instruction.
• Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and varying academic levels.
• A background in curriculum development is a plus, as it aids in creating effective lesson plans.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.18 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
