Medical Lab Technician-Laboratory Services
Northridge Hospital Medical Center
We are looking for a Medical Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Laboratory Science and experience working in a Clinical Laboratory setting.
Responsibilities
- Performs verifies and reports results of moderately complex lab tests including but not limited to: chemistry immunochemistry and immunology.
- Uses good communication skills while interacting with patients physicians nursing personnel and co-workers.
- Performs moderately complex therapeutic drug monitoring
- Performs required quality control and quality assurance assessment
- Performs testing completely accurately within established timeframes and according to established policies and procedures
- Enters quality control and test results into information systems accurately and within established timeframes
Qualifications
- One year of experience as a Lab Assistant or Technician in a clinical laboratory preferred.
- AA degree in chemical physical biological or clinical laboratory science including a minimum of 36 semester units of physical or biological science from an accredited college or university.
- Continuing education requirements must be maintained
- Knowledgeable in MS Windows Operating System MS Word and MS Excel.
- Current CA MLT license.
- A current Los Angeles City fire card is required.
Pay Range
$31.94 - $46.31 /hour
Salary : $32 - $46
