A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Physical Therapist for a travel contract.
The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience.
Job Requirements
Must have active BLS certification.
Must hold a California License.
One year of experience or more is required.
Travel experience is preferred.
Schedule Information
Shifts vary depending on what they need at the time.
Sometimes they will work Wed-Sun or Thur-Mon.
Shifts are typically 8 hours and the start time varies.
Unit Specific Information
Rehab Aides / OTA / PTAL : Yes - usually 2 - they will assist in rehab.
Scrub Color / Uniform : They must wear a maroon polo shirt and dark colored pants, closed toed shoes, and a lab coat is optional.
Additional Details
Must have inpatient acute hospital experience.
Unit : PT, OT, Speech.
patients treated per day : Depends on area they are assigned to, outpatient - up to 9 per day, inpatient - up to 13 per day, rehab - varies.
Common diagnosis / Types of patients : Inpatient - no NICU, pediatrics, PICU, ER, ICU, etc - PT - ortho, post surgical, neuro, trauma, cardiac, medsurg, Speech - stroke, TBI, neuro, trauma, cognitive impairments, difficulties swallowing, candidates must have experience with bedside swallow studies, video swallowing studies experienced is preferred.
Floor specific orientation : 1.5 days of orientation to job and unit.
