What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admin/Referral Specialist position at NorthRiver Primary Care Associates?

Admin/Referral Specialist

Duties to include:

  • verifying eligibility and benefits for all patients prior to appointments
  • submitting all specialist referrals
  • scheduling all radiology/imaging tests
  • completing pre-certifications for imaging, as needed
  • faxing documents as needed following HIPAA protocol
  • assisting with - incoming patient messages
  • assisting with - calling to set up all new patient appointments
  • assisting with = fulfilling medical record requests.

Must be available to work 8:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday through Friday

For consideration, applicants MUST have at least one year of experience in an office setting (Medical Office Setting PREFERRED): customer service, effective communication skills with customers/patients and co-workers, multi-line phone systems, faxing and scanning large volumes of paperwork.

Experience with Systemedx or Cerner SPM/Power Chart Electronic Medical Records System preferred.
