The Advice Strategist plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of comprehensive financial advice to clients. This role requires a licensed professional with expertise in financial planning tools, a client-first mentality, and the ability to articulate complex financial strategies effectively. The Advice Strategist will work closely with advisors to provide financial solutions while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Provide client-facing financial advice and support in collaboration with advisors
- Analyze and develop financial strategies using financial planning software
- Assist in the creation and presentation of financial plans tailored to client needs
- Navigate multiple competing priorities while maintaining a high level of client service
- Support the operational needs of the advisory team by assisting with account opening, transfers, and document processing
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements, including AML, SEC, and internal firm policies
- Maintain client records, prepare reports, and track key client milestones
- Collaborate with advisors, tax professionals, estate planning attorneys, investment professionals and operations teams to execute financial strategies
- Performs other duties as assigned
Formal Education & Certification
- BA in finance, economics, accounting or related preferred
- Licensing: Series 65 and/or CFP (or equivalent required) or ability to obtain within 180 days
Knowledge & Experience
- 3-5 years in the financial services industry, with experience in either business-to-business (B2B) support for advisors or business-to-client (B2C) direct financial advising
- Strong Proficiency in financial planning software (e.g., eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, RightCapital), CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain medium-to-complex financial strategies to clients
- Dedicated to a client-first approach, ensuring an exceptional client experience while handling multiple priorities
- Understanding of financial industry regulations and the ability to support compliance-related tasks such as documentation tracking and adherence to internal policies
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a criminal background check is required
Our Compensation & Benefits
The estimated base pay salary rate for this role is $80,753 - $121,130 per year. Base salaries are determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, depending on the role, many roles are eligible for variable pay such as bonuses, commissions, and/or long-term incentives.
