As an Associate, Operations you will lead digital account opening initiatives, prepare client deliverables, facilitate essential client paperwork, and champion technology-driven innovation across the firm. Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Client Reporting/Operations
- Collaborate with Advisors and Client Service Associates to deliver exceptional client service and implement efficient operating procedures.
- Review and complete deliverables for client meetings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Facilitate digital account opening initiatives to streamline processes.
- Maintain and update client portfolio data and support outside account aggregation tools.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of statements and deliverables.
- Prepare Advisors with all necessary meeting materials.
Technology
- Co-manage NorthRock’s technology platform with the Operations team and support from managed service providers.
- Handle administrative functions such as user account maintenance, reporting, dashboards, process workflows, and routine technology tasks.
- Serve as a strategic partner to identify creative solutions to operational challenges, balancing innovation with pragmatic solutions.
Innovation
- Quickly understand and address business issues and challenges.
- Proactively identify opportunities for innovation across NorthRock.
- Share best practices, industry trends, new technologies, and insights across the company.
- Collaborate on and host training sessions to inspire ingenuity, drive innovation, and enhance skillsets across the organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 3.5.
Knowledge & Experience
- Operations Experience: Prior experience in Operations within a Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) firm is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) is beneficial.
- Financial Services Knowledge: Experience or a strong desire to work within the financial services industry.
Personal Attributes
- Project Management: Proven project management skills, including a history of process improvement and department growth.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with Microsoft Office, Apple iOS, and various tech platforms.

Our Compensation & Benefits
- The estimated hourly rate for this role is $25.06 - $39.15 per hour. Base salaries are determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, depending on the role, many roles are eligible for variable pay such as bonuses, commissions, and/or long-term incentives. Work Conditions
- Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Background Check: Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
- Availability: Full-time schedule varies by season. During peak periods (e.g., quarter-end), hours may adjust to meet business needs. Traditional schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
