What You Will Do

  • As able, source, nurture and advance individual advisors and advisor practices through the NorthRock inorganic pipeline
  • Distill Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), prepare summaries, and support decision-making around which practices to pursue
  • Own the creation of Contribution-Based Analyses (CBAs) in partnership with the Finance team to assess deal value and alignment
  • Research, identify, and assess potential acquisition targets, monitor industry trends, and analyze the competitive landscape
  • Lead and support cross-functional due diligence efforts, reviewing financials, contracts, and operational data to identify risks and opportunities
  • Assist in deal structuring, coordination with legal and financial advisors, and preparation of term sheets and closing materials
  • Support early relationship-building with acquisition targets and next-gen leaders, ensuring smooth transition and culture alignment
  • Prepare deal summaries, pitch decks, and updates for internal leadership and external stakeholders
  • Partner with internal teams post-close to support effective integration and value realization

What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, or wealth management
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation experience (Excel, PowerPoint required)
  • Understanding of M&A lifecycle—including deal sourcing, due diligence, and integration
  • Ability to interpret and summarize CIMs and other key deal documents
  • Experience working in or closely with the financial advisory or wealth management space
  • Comfortable operating with urgency in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail

Who you are

  • Strategic & Analytical: Brings a thoughtful, data-informed approach to M&A and growth strategy.
  • Collaborative & Relationship-Driven: Skilled at building trust with advisors, next-gen leaders, and stakeholders.
  • Adaptable & Fast-Paced: Thrives in high-growth environments where speed and precision go hand in hand.
