Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Linthicum, MD near Baltimore is seeking a Principal / Senior Principal Microelectronics Product Engineer for our Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL). The qualified candidate will have a working knowledge of circuit design, fabrication, assembly, test, and /or product qualification of microelectronic devices . Primary duties involve developing assembly/test/inspection process steps, performing electrical test data analysis , driving process excursion/defect analysis, monitoring yield monitoring , and ensuring requirements compliance and as well as on-time product delivery to the customer. Responsibilities also include working with cross functional teams to help develop new test/assembly/inspection process, planning & executing yield improvement projects, and communicating production status to P rogram & m anagement s . As a Product Engineer, you will manage product/s (wafers and assemblies from internal and external foundries & assembly plants covering wide range of products including Si ASIC, RFIC, discrete Power, etc) from NPI through production phase. Product Engineers are expected to lead cross-disciplinary teams to ensure delivered products comply with performance, quality, and delivery requirements. Candidates must have an aptitude for data manipulation and analysis ( via tools such as JMP and/or custom programming via languages such as Python. He/she must also have the ability to communicate with employees at all levels in the organization, lead engineering teams, and be able to demonstrate excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills. #NGATL Basic Qualifications Principal Microelectronics Product Engineer: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Engineering or other closely related technical field with 5 years of relevant experience (3 years with an MS; 0 years with a PhD) - Experience in the design, fabrication, assembly, test, and/or of semiconductor devices - Experience with data analysis using tools such as JMP, SAS, R, Tableau, Python, or other data analysis software -Must be able to obtain Secret clearance; US citizenship required Basic Qualifications Senior Principal Microelectronics Product Engineer: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Engineering or other closely related technical field with 9 years of relevant experience (7 years with an MS; 4 years with a PhD) - Experience in the design, fabrication, assembly, test, and/or qualification of semiconductor devices - Experience with data analysis using tools such as JMP, SAS, R, Tableau, Python, or other data analysis software -Must be able to obtain Secret clearance; US citizenship required Preferred Qualifications: - Subject Matter Expertise in Device Design, Assembly, Test, and/or Product Qualification & Reliability testing for Space and Military applications - Deep understanding of analog, digital and RF device test and characterization techniques - Understanding of statistics and process control - Yield enhancement or manufacturing experience including six sigma disciplines Salary Range: $99,800 USD - $149,800 USD Salary Range 2: $123,800 USD - $185,800 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
