Northshore Academy is a small, therapeutic day school for approximately 49 children, grades K-6, with significant social-emotional-behavioral and learning challenges.
Position Summary:
Instructional Assistant to support students with various social, emotional and cognitive disabilities. Also assist academic teacher in the classroom and student support team as needed.
Specific Duties:
Work with a variety of classroom teachers in an academic support role and be available as needed to do behavioral interventions and student support coverage as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience working with students with behavioral challenges within a school setting. Ability to maintain a safe environment.
Education/Training/Experience:
Excellent teamwork, communication and organization skills needed.
