Position Highlights:
- Position: Registered Nurse - Hybrid Virtual
- Hourly Pay Range: $34.68 - $55.80. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

- Warrenville Corporate Center - 4201 Winfield Rd, Warrenville, IL 60555
- Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus - 155 E. Brush Hill Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126
- There is Full-Time and Part-Time availability
- Hours: 7am-7pm with very other weekend rotation required.
- Required Travel: Will float between Virtual Nursing at Warrenville Corporate Center and Inpatient Bedside Nursing at Elmhurst Hospital
A Brief Overview:
This role is responsible for patient management and care in the inpatient setting. As a member of the patient care team, the RN collaborates, communicates, and facilitates care with providers and patients or families. Advocates for patients and supports bedside staff, facilitates learning of RNs, aligns practice with safety and quality. Reflect the mission, vision, and values of the health care entity, adhere to the organization's code of ethics and corporate compliance program, and comply with all relevant policies, guidelines, procedures, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. This position can be located at the Corporate Center and Elmhurst Hospital and/or Northwest Community Hospital as needed.
Provides professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies and procedures. Employs critical thinking skills, assesses patients' condition, recognizes changes, plans and evaluates care, monitors patients' progress, and records pertinent observations. Delegates appropriate patient care tasks to other staff. Functions as a team member to fulfill unit goals. The following are general characteristics of this job, although duties may vary by assigned unit or shift.
What you will do:
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served. This includes knowledge of the physical and psychological needs of patients served and the ability to respond appropriately to those needs.
- Provides virtual and bedside nursing to assigned patients. This includes monitoring and caring for patients. Communicates patient care information to the bedside RN. Acts as a knowledge resource to the bedside RN.
- May provide medication reconciliation, completion of procedure checklists, second nurse sign off for meds/skin checks, contacts families, answers questions for the patient and/or family, etc.
- Performs patient/family education and discharge planning.
- Documents patient interactions via EPIC
What you will need:
Required Education, Licenses/Certifications, Skills and/or Experience:
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
- If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021)
- Current incumbents with an RN Diploma are grandfathered OR
- RN Diploma Nurse if position start date is prior to September 1, 2021
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
- Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of start date in position
Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Nursing
- A minimum of two years of bedside nursing experience in an acute care setting.
