Patient Care Tech - Emergency Department-NightPosition Highlights:
- Position: Patient Care Tech
- Hourly Pay Range: $17.00 - $27.32. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $18.50 base pay hourly rate beginning with May 2025 paychecks.
- Location: Highland Park Hospital
- Full-time: 36 hours per week
- Hours: night shift(7pm-7:30am), w/ rotating weekends
- Flow of work and character of duties involves normal mental, visual, auditory attention much or all of the time with manual dexterity is required for sustained periods of time.
- Requires visual acuity adequate to assess patients and read/record patient charts.
- Requires auditory acuity adequate to converse with patients, members of the healthcare team and coworkers who are wearing masks.
- Potential for exposure to blood, body fluids and other potentially infectious materials, chemicals and other hazardous conditions which may pose a health risk.
- Able to work under pressure to meet patient care needs.
- When in the clinical environment, must utilize appropriate patient movement equipment for patient-lifting and transfers when the transfer is a non-emergency situation.
- In an urgent event, may need to assist with lifting up to 50 pounds.
- When applicable, wear an N95 mask/PAPR and other PPE.
- Sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting throughout the shift.
- Eligible to work in the US
- Completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant (CNA) training course preferred
- Completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical nursing preferred
- Current BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider issued by American Heart Association
- If BLS certification is not current or does not have certification, required to be obtained within the employee's introductory period (within 90 days of hire date)
- Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
