Northside Charter High School is a small, public charter school located in the North Williamsburg / Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. We are a college preparatory high school with a mission to prepare students for college. Through our unique approach to instruction, we provide scholars in grades 9-12 with an education that results in mastery of the New York State Learning Standards, on-time high school graduation, and readiness to take college courses in high school. Northside Charter High School (NCHS) is seeking an organized, flexible, and mission-driven Enrollment Coordinator to join us in supporting our students and caregivers at our school. This person will report directly to the Enrollment and Attendance Manager and be responsible for recruiting and enrolling students to Northside Charter High School. Additionally, you will manage the school's application system and enrollment cycle from end to end to ensure that a culture of excellence and accountability permeates through the school enrollment system.
The Enrollment Coordinator is a full-time, year-round position with responsibility for the enrollment of 450 students and beyond. This includes maintaining the student registration database, maintaining student records analysis of enrollment data, assisting families through the process, representing NCHS at recruiting events, and general administrative support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Recruitment and Outreach :
Coordinates all outreach and recruitment efforts for Northside Charter High School to ensure full enrollment at all times.Meets monthly / Quarterly / Annual enrollment benchmarks aligned to key performance indicatorsAbility to organize and support and flexibility to work events during evenings and weekendsAbility to travel to schools to promote NCHS through presentations and enrollment assembliesTracks all outreach and recruitment events and analyzes outcomes of each eventAbility to use social media as an outreach tool to engage the community and familiesDevelops strong community relationships to strengthen outreach opportunities for eligible families.Conducts Open Houses and school tours as a means to provide information about NCHSMust ensure all outreach methods and materials are in line with agency expectationsInventory and ordering of recruitment giveawaysNetwork with Community Based Organizations (CBO) and distant schoolsManage student recruitment logistics and efforts towards enrollmentManage the new student enrollment process, data collection, and records maintenance.Responsible for the creation / updating of recruitment marketing materials such as brochures, fliers, banners, presentations, videos, and social media advertisementsResponsible for parent outreach via phone calls, emails, text messages, and or recruitment mailingsConducts follow-up with families to ensure eligibility and monitors process from recruitment to enrollmentTracks and analyzes enrollment data, fosters improvements in decision-making and troubleshoot enrollment issuesManages the student database such as Schoolmint and other school databases like ATSAdministrative Functions :
Answers phones and emails from prospective and current families.Greet and direct visitors, take and relay messages, provide routine enrollment information to students, parents, or guardians.Supports the administrative needs of the Main Office, including clerical and organizational support.Work with the school's Student InformationSystems such as (ATS, Schoolmint, Jupiter, etc)Organize, reviews and audits students files throughout the year.
