Position Overview :
Northside Charter High School is seeking experienced and enthusiastic Physics Teachers for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. Successful candidates will be responsible for delivering engaging science instruction, fostering critical thinking skills, and contributing to the overall academic excellence of our students.
Responsibilities :
Plan and implement effective science lessons aligned with the school's curriculum.
Create a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and exploration.
Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Utilize a variety of assessment methods to measure student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and share best practices.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with advancements in science education.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science Education or a related field.
New York State certification in Secondary Science Education preferred
Strong content knowledge and a passion for science education.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Experience :
Previous teaching experience at the high school level is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with inquiry-based and hands-on teaching methodologies.
Comfort with technology integration in the science classroom.
