Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Delivery : Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in history and social studies, including U.S. history, world history, government, and economics, as applicable.
Student Engagement : Foster a classroom environment that encourages inquiry, critical thinking, and active participation in discussions about historical events, themes, and their relevance today.
Skill Development : Teach students how to analyze primary and secondary sources, construct evidence-based arguments, and develop historical research and writing skills.
Assessment and Feedback : Design and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding, provide timely and constructive feedback, and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Differentiation : Adapt instruction to accommodate various learning levels and styles, ensuring all students are supported and challenged.

Qualifications
Required :
Bachelor’s degree in History, Education, or a related field.
Valid teaching certification for secondary social studies / history (or ability to obtain certification before the start date).
Strong knowledge of historical content and pedagogy.
Preferred :
Master’s degree in History, Education, or a related field.
Experience teaching Advanced Placement (AP) history or dual-credit courses.
Familiarity with integrating technology into history instruction.
