Overview :
Northside Charter High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Pre-Calculus and Statistics Teacher to join our dynamic team. The teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, and supporting the academic development of all students.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and deliver engaging Pre-Calculus and Statistics lessons aligned with New York State learning standards.
Create and implement lesson plans that accommodate different learning styles and levels of student proficiency.
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world applications of mathematical concepts.
Monitor and evaluate student performance through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support student growth.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and collaboration.
Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.
Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure students’ academic progress and address any challenges.
Participate in professional development opportunities to remain current with trends in mathematics education and pedagogy.

Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
New York State certification in Mathematics (Grades 7-12) or eligibility for certification.
Strong understanding of Pre-Calculus and Statistics curriculum and standards.
Experience in teaching high school-level mathematics preferred.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
