Job Summary
The Seasonal Agronomy Operations position plays a vital role in business seasonal needs and ensures a seamless agronomy peak season. The key responsibility includes operating tender trucks in the spring and summer and the role requires a high degree of flexibility, adaptability, and technical skill. A good working relationship with other employees, self-driven motivation, and diligent driving is needed to excel at this position. The Seasonal Agronomy Operations individual must comply with all company policies, procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
· Agronomy Peak Season (roughly April – August)
o During this period, your primary focus will be on field operations, including:
§ Operate the tender truck efficiently and safely, delivering materials to designated fields and locations.
§ Accurately deliver and verify correct product according to dispatched schedule and seasonal needs.
§ Complete appropriate paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
§ Assist with loading and unloading of fertilizer and other operational tasks.
Additional Duties
· Occasional weekend work required during Agronomy Peak Season.
Job Requirements
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
· Certifications: Have and maintain a valid Class B CDL, Fed Med, and possess a satisfactory driving record.
· Technical Skills:
o Ability to lift 60 pounds and climb ladders.
o Meet all DOT requirements and comply with DOT rules and regulations
o Ability to understand agricultural sales and service.
o Proficient in the use of computer technology and other relevant tools.
· Soft Skills:
o Display a high degree of adaptability and flexibility.
o Self-driven, motivated, and organizationally efficient.
o Safety-minded with strong awareness and adherence to safety protocols, regulations, and best practices.
o Strong commitment to quality, honesty, and client service.
