Position Description
POSITION: Head Volleyball Coach
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Coaching experience preferred
-
Possess effective communication skills
-
Ability to work part-time and weekends (approximately 35 hours per week)

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs to shoulder height occasionally
-
CPR and first aid certified
-
Teaching license or college degree preferred
-
Minimum of 60 college hours & advanced training & teaching of swimming
REPORTS TO: Head Volleyball Coach
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and benefits to be established .
POSITION OVERVIEW: The Volleyball Team competes competitevly in volleyball competitions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Comprehensive knowledge of the rules and fundamentals of volleyball.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of school equipment.
- To model fundamental skills.
- To place a team on the field of competition.
- To screen student athletes for membership on a team.
- Provide eligibility lists, rosters, and other paperwork as required by administration.
- To effectively recruit, condition, and train players through camps and individual contacts.
- Attend volleyball meets as scheduled.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Work collaboratively with other coaches & staff.

Follow district policies, rules and regulations.

Perform basic first aid on players if needed & have current CPR training.

Follows the direction of the Athletic Director.

Maintain positive relations with students & parents.

Model proper dress, language, demeanor and student/teacher relations.
