Program Summary: Northside Neighborhood House envisions a thriving community working together to facilitate cross-generational stability, empowerment, and elimination of barriers for all of our neighbors. Through a collaborative approach, the NNH provides basic needs support in addition to access educational opportunities for neighbors to achieve short and long-term goals that will lead to economic mobility. The Director of Stability leads NNH's Stability department, providing comprehensive support and resources to neighbors in need. This includes direct assistance, case management, and other innovative programs designed to foster self-sufficiency and improve quality of life.

Position Summary: The Director of Stability provides strategic leadership and oversight for all Stability programs at Northside Neighborhood House, ensuring the effective delivery of resources and support to individuals and families in need.

Typical Working Conditions/Environment: This position is primarily office-based but is a community-based role. Visits to other sites or partner agencies are necessary to fulfill the requirements of the position. Work location & environment may vary as needed to fully support programming.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in social services, nonprofit management, or a related field)
  • Master's degree in social work or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Three or more years of management experience required
  • Experience in the non-profit sector required
  • Experience managing volunteers and community partnerships required
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic initiatives preferred

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Schedule: Typical schedule will be Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm. Regular, punctual attendance is expected of all employees. Schedules may vary as needed to fully support programming.

Travel: Local travel on a regular, weekly or more often, basis is required. Reliable transportation and valid driver license is required to perform all functions of this role effectively. Occasional overnight or out of town travel for training may be needed.

Equipment/Technology: Computer competency is required for use of Google suite & MS suite products, particularly use of email, calendar, MS Word, MS Excel. Must be able to learn & use point-of-sale (POS) software successfully and train others. Must be able to use and quickly learn new software to support agency priorities

Skills/Abilities:Hearing and vision necessary to perform the essential functions of this position required. Ability to lift up to and sometimes over 20lbs and manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Actively participates on the Leadership Team to contribute insight and expertise related to stability programs and community needs.
  • Collaborate with other members of the leadership team to align stability programs with overall NNH goals and initiatives.
  • Contribute to key organizational decisions, providing data and analysis to support informed choices related to program development, resource allocation, and community impact.
  • Serve as an advocate for Stability programming within NNH and the broader community, effectively communicating the value and impact to stakeholders.
  • Participate in organizational risk assessment and mitigation strategies, identifying potential challenges and developing solutions to ensure program sustainability.
  • Support organizational change initiatives, helping to implement new strategies and processes effectively within the Stability department.
  • Lead the Program Committee along with the Chief Education Officer.
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all Stability programming, ensuring alignment with NNH’s mission and goals.
  • Develop and implement new programs and initiatives to address emerging community needs related to stability.
  • Oversee the Stability budget, monitoring expenses and ensuring financial sustainability.
  • Gathers and presents quantitative and qualitative data for all NNH programming to ensure continuous improvement and program participant satisfaction.
  • Provides guidance, support and oversight to all Stability Team members providing direct assistance support to neighbors.
  • In partnership with the Volunteer Director, supervises Stability volunteers.
  • Coordinate Stability Programming working with CEO and board committee members.
  • Manage Stability operations including best practices for emergency direct assistance and various programming related to empowering neighbors
  • Responsible for communications and ongoing training with Stability staff to ensure concordance with all policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates and facilitates Client Advisory Board (CAB) meetings on a regular basis for CommUNITY Schools and Stability Program.
  • Maintain current working knowledge of other direct social services operations in the Hamilton County area for best practices, possible referrals and information exchange.
  • Gathers research related to best practices around systemic issues that affect NNH program participants and clients specifically related to housing, transportation, education and others as presented through CABs.
  • Work with the Development Team to effectively market Stability programming to the public.
  • Coordinate large scale programs and distributions by recruiting and equipping staff members or collaborative partners to execute the program or distribution.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with community partners to enhance service delivery and create a collaborative network of support.
  • Monitor program outcomes and evaluate effectiveness, using data to inform continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and funding requirements.

Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Chief Executive Officer.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
