Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, maintaining the bar area, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and making recommendations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Monitor guest consumption of alcohol to ensure responsible serving practices are maintained.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food orders for guests at the bar or during events.
- Adhere to all food safety and handling regulations to maintain a safe environment for both staff and customers.
- Assist in setting up for banquets or catering events as needed.
Requirements
- Previous bartending experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food handling and food safety practices is essential.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in accordance with local regulations.
