What are the responsibilities and job description for the Collision technician position at NorthStar Auto?
We are looking for a collision repair technician to join our team in our rapidly growing facility! The right candidate will possess ICAR certifications, the ability to follow OEM procedures, and a strong willingness to learn.
The day-to-day duties of this role include collision parts repair / replacement, proper use of materials, time / workload management, and effective proper communication.
Responsibilities
Review repair orders and OEM procedures, parts required for repairs, perform 100% disassembly, and review file handlers estimate notes;
follow repair guidelines as laid out by manufacturer; notify shop foreman of any supplemental repairs and need for reassessment with file handler.
Perform correct repairs utilizing proper repair / replacement materials and proper corrosion protection.
Road test vehicles when necessary to ensure quality repair.
Maintain current knowledge of job and technical skills including OEM repair procedures and guidelines.
Perform work as outlined on repair plans with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
100% disassembly and inspect for additional or hidden repairs.

Qualifications
Welding, suspension, framework experience a plus OR willing to learn / train
Certifications listed above or equivalent experience and eagerness to improve
Valid driver's license
Proper tools to perform assigned tasks
