Description : Purpose Statement :
Northstar Mental Health Services works alongside the rest of the Northstar team in providing mental health services to those experiencing emotional distress and other mental health concerns that are interfering with their lives and overall well-being. Our integrated team of professionals work with clients individually, couples, with family, and in group settings. We are looking for individuals that possess the ability to provide psychotherapy to clients and help them to become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritually alive.
Job duties (not limited to);
- Maintain a minimum of 25 direct client contact hours per week (for full time), or averaging at least 60% of available time as direct client contact if part time. This will include a combination of 1 : 1 or group psychotherapy, as well as facilitating co-occurring substance use groups.
- Complete all substance use documentation within the day of service, and mental health documentation within 72 hours of rendering the service.
- Fulfill expectations on maintaining documentation tracking of clients in the residential site.
- Attend weekly multidisciplinary clinical staffing meetings.
- Attend weekly departmental clinical consultation meetings.
- Adhering to MN State Statutes, code of ethics, insurance requirements, and Northstar’s policy and procedures.
- Maintain resident / client records in accordance with Northstar’s policy requirements.
- Complete continuing education courses in current treatment concepts and methods as required by the State of Minnesota to maintain professional license.
- Hold a caseload of clients, providing all components of a psychotherapeutic episode of care from DA through termination.
- Coordinate care with all providers that are on the client's care team.
