Purpose Statement :
Northstar Behavioral Health Network is a team of professionals that specialize in serving those
battling substance use disorders, specifically Opioid Use Disorder and Stimulant Use Disorder.
Also specializing in those needing Intensive Residential Treatment Services.
Job Duties and Responsibilities : (Essential Functions)
- Participate in reviewing the comprehensive assessment prior to service initiation
- Develop, maintain, and periodically update written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department.
- Comprehensive understanding of all MN Statutes related to providing services for the population NBHN serves
- Management of Mantoux compliance
- Responsible for nursing department compliance
- Work with Provider on development and implementation of Standing Orders
- Work with Provider and NPS Nurses to ensure delivery of provider ordered services
- Responsible for QI implementation
- Manage relationships with outside resources and identification of potential providers including but not limited to outside MAT services, Psychiatric services, and other health related services
- Participate in strategic planning and policy updates
- Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staffing meetings
- Evaluate and implement recommendations from management staff in other departments as they may pertain to nursing services
- Recommend the number and level of nursing personnel to be employed
- Collaborate with the HR Department in the recruitment of nursing service personnel
