Warehouse Associate

NORTHSTAR CHEMICALis looking for someone to join their team immediately! This is a full time position, Monday-Friday, daytime hours. You are likely to get overtime every week.
Skills such as chemical handling and mechanical aptitude are highly desired, but we are willing to train the right person.

Position Benefits:

Entry Level Chemical Handling Responsibilities:

• Offload railcars and tankers to storage
• Blending of mix tanks and direct mixing in tankers
• Perform solutioning of dry products in mix tanks
• Operate forklift daily & man lift occasionally
• Perform QC testing of product

Entry Level Yard Specialist Requirements:

• Demonstrate the ability to work with corrosive chemicals.
• Agree to fully cooperate with the training program for chemical handling and safety.
• Must be able to meet all the requirements for respirator certification including any medical certifications and yearly re-certification with fit testing per OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.134
• Agree to train to the OSHA Hazmat Emergency Responder Technician certification level and maintain annual certification.
• Take a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Willing to work long hours occasionally as required from business needs and be responsive for after hours/weekends/on call as assigned.
• High School Diploma/GED
• US Citizenship required.

Preferred but not required:

• Experience in handling and transport of corrosive products
• Mechanical aptitude; ability to perform routine maintenance and work on pneumatic pumps.
