What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Worker: After-Hours/Weekend Child Protection position at Northstar In Home Support Services?
Description: Worker will provide after-hours/weekend child protection response for the State of Idaho Department of Health and Welfare throughout Region 2. Duties include making initial child protection response, completing risk assessments, safety plans, foster care placements etc. Worker will also complete documentation, affidavits and occasional court testimony.
Vehicle and fuel is provided, flexible scheduling available, competitive pay. Minimum hourly wage provided for standby time ($6/hr), with higher wage for response time ($25/hr). Liability insurance provided for all employees.
This is an excellent 2nd job/supplemental pay opportunity, ideal for students or professionals in need of supplemental pay and social work experience.
Requirements: This job requires a degree in a human services field and/or a valid State of Idaho Social Work license. Experience in child protection is helpful but not required. Training will be provided.
Company Information: Northstar IHSS has been operating since 1997 and currently has a presence throughout the state of Idaho. We have provided on call services for the Department of Health and Welfare since 1999.
