Equipment Technician II

Location: Wilmer, TX
Job Type: Temp-to-Perm
Shifts Available:

• Day Shift (A & C): 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Night Shift (B & D): 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (10% pay differential)
• Rotating Wednesdays

Pay Range:

• Day Shift: $26 – $33/hr
• Night Shift: $28.60 – $36.30/hr (with 10% night differential)

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated equipment
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with:
• Motors, pumps, valves, sensors
• PLCs and ladder logic
• Industrial robotics
• Electrical and pneumatic systems
• Proficient in use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, calipers)
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
• Fast-paced manufacturing experience preferred

Preferred (Not Required):

• Prior experience in the solar industry or working with solar panel manufacturing equipment (lamination/soldering machines)
• Background in high-volume production environments

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues on production equipment (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic)
• Detect and isolate irregularities in machinery and automation systems
• Replace or repair defective components (motors, belts, bearings, wiring, sensors)
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance and repairs
• Assist in installing, testing, and commissioning new equipment
• Collaborate with production and process teams to optimize equipment performance
• Train and guide junior technicians as needed
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain clean, organized workspaces

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motion tasks

Job Type: Temp-to-hire

Pay: $27.91 - $33.00 per hour
