Our practice is a multi-physician Podiatry office with two locations, in Chico and Redding. Our Chico location features a Physical Therapy department. Our doctors have collectively treated patients for over 60 years and have a goal to make the quality of their patients’ lives better from the ground up! From offering understanding and a smile to advanced, state-of-the-art medical care, we provide our patients with a comfortable experience and ethical, effective treatment. - Medical billing experience required
- Obtain insurance authorizations for diagnostic testing
- Knowledge of CPT and HCPC’s codes
- Knowledge of EOB’s
- Work billing reports
- Work pending claims
- Claim monitoring
- Calling insurance companies
- Filing appeals
- Collect patient payments
- Assist patients with billing questions
- Strong communication, including writing, speaking and active listening
- Great customer service skills, including interpersonal conversation, patience and empathy
- Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- In-depth knowledge of industry best practices
- Organization, time management and prioritization abilities
- Ability to be discreet and maintain the security of patient or customer information
- Understanding of industry-specific policies, such as HIPAA regulations for health care.
