Position Overview: As the Lead Caregiver, you will play a pivotal role in delivering day-to-day care and overseeing a team of caregivers. You will ensure that all clients receive the highest standard of care, tailored to their individual needs. Your leadership will help foster a supportive and collaborative environment for caregivers, while maintaining a safe, clean, and positive atmosphere for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of caregivers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Provide direct personal care to clients, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and assess the physical and emotional well-being of clients and report any concerns to management or healthcare professionals.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the client, family members, and healthcare providers.
- Ensure that care plans are followed and update them as necessary based on the client’s evolving needs.
- Promote a positive and respectful environment for both clients and staff.
- Assist with scheduling and training new caregivers.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations.
- Handle emergencies and provide support in crisis situations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a caregiver, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Certification in caregiving (CNA, HHA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong understanding of caregiving best practices and patient care.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work under pressure.
- Must be reliable, compassionate, and committed to making a positive impact in the lives of clients.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
