FlexStaff is seeking a Purchasing Manager for our client, a manufacturer for the aerospace and defense industry.
RESPONSABILITIES:
- Lead manufacturing team to achieve production targets.
- Review and examine purchase requisitions.
- Read and interpret drawings for various parts, including machined, sheet metal, PCB, flex circuits, and complex assemblies.
- Establish and select reliable suppliers with reasonable pricing and quality.
- Purchase electrical and mechanical components, PCBs, fabricated parts, and complex assemblies.
- Manage purchase orders (tracking, expediting, follow-up).
- Obtain bids and issue POs for contract manufacturing services.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 9 years’ experience purchasing of electronic and electromechanical parts preferably in the RF Defense industry.
OR
- Master’s degree with 7 years’ experience purchasing of electronic and electromechanical parts preferably in the RF Defense industry.
- Costpoint, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office proficiency
