Northwell Health’s Department of Behavioral Health is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Adult Outpatient Psychiatrist to join our Behavioral Health team at Phelps Hospital . We are recruiting for a highly motivated Practitioner who has outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills and is able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. This position has the possibility of being converted to a leadership opportunity for a qualified candidate.
This is a truly unique opportunity to join the inpatient team at Phelps Hospital – a 22-bed Inpatient Psychiatric Unit which provides acute and around-the-clock care to patients 18 years old and older. Our care team is multidisciplinary, consisting of two psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, nurse practitioners, social workers, and occupational therapists. General medical care is provided to the patients by the Hospitalist service. In addition to the usual psychopharmacological therapies, Electroconvulsive Therapy is available at the hospital.
