Youth Peer Support Specialist - Part/Full Time

Job duties include working with young teens and adults enrolled in our organization's clinical services.Will work closely with the individual's clinical team leader to implement the treatment process with the young person and their family.Must have personal experience as a child / teen ("I have lived experience") in personally receiving mental health services or child welfare and be able to appropriately disclose and share that experience with young adults, ages 16-21, in order to foster hope, build resiliency, and develop self-advocacy skills that will empower them to achieve their goals.Job Requirements : A high school diploma / GED from a state accredited school / source.You must have a current / valid driver's license and be 21 years of age or older with a good driving record to meet driving insurability requirements.To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge and use of computer software and programs, such as Word processing, Excel, and Outlook.Personal experience with mental health as a child or adolescent.Pay Rate : This will be discussed during the interview.Schedule : Full-time Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.Part-time position is also available; schedule would be discussed further during the interview.Full Time Benefits Include : Local Government Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama Health insuranceGuardian Dental, Vision, and Term life insuranceNorthwest provides a Guardian term life policy at no cost to you.Retirement Systems of Alabama (ERS) Employees' Retirement System12 Paid HolidaysBereavement PayEarned Sick and Vacation TimeAnd More AmazingBenefits!Part Time Benefits Include : Retirement Systems of Alabama (ERS) Employees' Retirement System
