Job Summary
The Director, Urgent Care oversees the operational, clinical, and administrative functions of the urgent care facility. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, optimizing operational efficiency, and aligning the urgent care center with the organization's strategic goals. The Director collaborates with clinical and administrative teams to deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centered care.
Essential Functions
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the urgent care center, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Develops and implements strategies to enhance patient care delivery, operational efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
- Monitors and manages the financial performance of the facility, including budget preparation, expense tracking, and revenue optimization.
- Recruits, trains, and supervises clinical and administrative staff, ensuring adequate coverage and maintaining a high-performing team.
- Collaborates with healthcare providers and staff to maintain quality care standards, implement evidence-based practices, and address clinical challenges.
- Ensures facility readiness, including maintaining medical supplies, equipment, and technology required for operations.
- Monitors key performance metrics and prepares reports for leadership to evaluate facility performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Develops and enforces policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient and staff safety and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field required
- 5-7 years of healthcare experience, including clinical or operational roles in an urgent care, ambulatory care, or related healthcare setting required
- 3-5 years of healthcare management experience in an urgent care or ambulatory care setting required

- Strong understanding of urgent care operations, including patient flow, resource allocation, and quality care delivery.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, analyze financial data, and optimize facility performance.
- Effective leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate staff.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards for urgent care settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and resolve conflicts.
- Proficiency in using healthcare technology, including electronic medical records (EMRs) and scheduling systems.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
Licenses and Certifications
