Head Start Substitute Teacher
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: On Call
Hours: On call Tuesday-Friday 7am-5:00pm. 10 hr. Shifts
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma and CDA
*Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
Minimum Education: Infant/Toddler CDA (If applicant does not have a CDA they must agree to complete their CDA within 6 months)
Experience: Three or more years of Head Start experience or equivalent teaching experience preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Under the guidance and supervision of the Center Director the substitute will provide a successful, safe and supervised educational setting for children, 3-5 years, while they are in the HS environment. Under the direct guidance and supervision of the Center Director the substitute will promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of HS children. Encourage parental involvement in all aspects of the program.
