Job Description

Northwest Bank, one of the top 100 largest banks in the United States, is seeking a seasoned marketing leader for the role of Executive Director, Digital & Marketing Channels. This senior leadership position is pivotal in overseeing all marketing channels, including digital and traditional media, across the bank's four-state footprint. The Executive Director will lead and manage all digital and traditional marketing channels to ensure cohesive and effective marketing strategies. They will oversee relationships with external agencies, including the bank's agency of record (AOR), to drive impactful marketing campaigns. Passionately leading and mentoring the marketing team, the Executive Director will focus on their learning and development to cultivate the next generation of marketing leaders at Northwest. This influential role requires a dynamic leader who combines marketing acumen with business knowledge and a passion for developing talent. Essential Functions

  • Translate line of business marketing strategies into actionable multichannel marketing programs that drive revenue-attributable business outcomes across all divisions, including Retail and Small Business, Commercial, Mortgage and Retail Lending, and Investments
  • Collaborate with internal and external marketing partners and business units to design and manage strategy and execution for digital marketing, including content marketing, digital advertising, organic search, paid search, social media and website
  • Execute tactics for building traffic and growing customer base through online media and SEO
  • Oversee key external communication channels (thought leadership content, email and other online content), lead efforts to produce relevant and engaging communications that result in measurable action
  • Lead marketing support efforts for other departments and encourage strong collaboration and teamwork to execute cross-departmental initiatives
  • Develop and manage the channels marketing budget, providing monthly and quarterly reports as required
  • Develop recurring marketing return on investment reporting and analysis
  • Partner with the bank's technology team to recommend and implement the marketing technology stack, including customer data platform, marketing automation system, website content management system, and other critical technologies
  • Demonstrate creativity, out-of-the-box thinking and resourcefulness in leading team to meet ambitious growth goals
  • Educate the marketing team and bank leadership on digital marketing trends and best practices
  • Manage and coach team of marketing professionals to ensure flawless planning and execution of marketing initiatives; provide regular and ongoing performance coaching and career development opportunities with a focus on retaining and recruiting top talent

Additional Essential Functions

  • Ensure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal / State regulations
  • Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency

  • Complete other duties and special projects as requested by management
  • Safety and Health for Supervisors with Direct Reports

  • Provide leadership and positive direction for maintaining the safety and loss prevention program
  • Actively participate in and support employee participation in the safety and loss prevention program by ensuring that employees know how to properly report a safety issue, making sure that all accidents are promptly reported to Human Resources and documented, and ensuring that prompt action is taken whenever workplace hazards are identified
  • Help implement emergency procedures

    Education

    Bachelor's Degree Marketing, Communications, or related field Or

    Work Experience

    12 - 15 years Directly related, progressively responsible work experience And

    12 - 15 years Experience with hands-on digital marketing with a for-profit business, non-profit organization or with a consultant working closely with nonprofits And

    6 - 8 years Management Experience

  • Ability to identify existing and potential problems, obtain and evaluate relevant information, identify possible causes of the problems, and suggest an alternative course of action including innovative or creative approaches
  • Ability to allocate and effectively use information, personnel, time, and other resources necessary for implementation of Northwest's strategic plans
  • Ability to make decisions, render judgments, and take action on tasks within the scope of given authority in a timely fashion
  • Ability to develop, evaluate, and implement alternative courses of action, based on correct assumptions concerning resources and guidelines, and support decisions or recommendations with data or reasoning

    Subject matter depth and breadth expertise required in developing and implementing integrated digital marketing campaigns with measurable results, including paid digital marketing tactics (search, display, video, sponsored content, etc.), search engine optimization, and account-based marketing
