The Northwest Career and Technical Center (NCTC) in St. Albans is seeking a Culinary Arts Instructor for high school students. The Culinary Arts Teacher provides hands-on instruction in culinary techniques, food safety, fundamentals of food service, nutrition, and management. This role involves delivering a curriculum aligned with industry standards, preparing students for postsecondary education or careers in the culinary field, and supporting their attainment of industry-recognized certifications such as ServSafe. The teacher will also collaborate with the local community to provide real-world learning opportunities, ensuring students graduate career-ready and confident in their abilities in the culinary arts industry.
Education and/or Experience: A minimum of four years equivalent work experience. Associate degree preferred. Certificates, licenses, Registrations: Valid Vermont Teaching License with appropriate endorsement for academic assignment and/or level of assignment. The Vermont Teaching License can be earned synchronously while working. Certified in ServSafe and willingness to become a ServSafe proctor.
