Direct Care Staff- Weekday Graveyard

Northwest College Support supports college-age students and individuals who are developing skills needed to live healthy, independent lives. At NWCS we provide an environment for change, guiding our students in the areas of education, mental health, life skills and overall wellness.

Direct Care Graveyard Staff support student plans, by building relationships with our students, modeling positive habits, providing opportunities for social engagement and supporting students' nighttime routines. 10pm-8am, Monday-Thursday nights.

Salary/ Benefits: $20-$21 per hour; health, vision and dental insurance; paid time off; maternity/ paternity leave; $1200 annual education stipend (after 90 days), your birthday off, fun work environment!

Position: Direct Care Staff work directly with our students to guide them toward their goals. This role can include:

• Mentor young adults to create positive change in their lives.
• Support students to manage their nighttime routine.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment.
• Provide transportation to school, work, volunteering, etc.
• Assist students with housekeeping tasks.
• Respond to crisis situations and provide de-escalation when needed.
• Conduct rounds, checking in with each student.
• Report student updates to leadership.
• Engage in our dynamic team approach to serving our students!

Requirements:

• Strong desire to help people; high level of compassion and empathy
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive environment, supporting people of all backgrounds
• High level of professional maturity, resiliency, and good decision making.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work on a team.
• HS/ GED required; Associate's degree or beyond, preferred.
• Must be 21 years old, with a valid driver's license
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
