Job Summary:
Responsible for the development, production and distribution of the Bank’s marketing, corporate and PR communications. Manages projects and tasks to ensure timely and successful execution of communications, events, and sponsorships, partnering with senior management, contributors, and the Bank’s PR agency. Partners with management across various product lines to develop and launch campaigns that differentiate our products in the market and drive demand. Communicate these initiatives to the sales team as appropriate. Work with sales and support teams to develop tools that support the selling process of these products.
Provides customer insight and business intelligence through analysis and research to help profitably acquire, retain, and deepen relationships with customers.
Manages and executes marketing programs and projects ranging from the Bank’s website to print and social media to meet business objectives and strengthen the Bank brand while increasing sales.
Principal Responsibilities:
Corporate and Public Relations Communications
Writes, reviews, and/or edits internal and external communications including bank reports, employee publications and messages, website postings and press releases for the Bank. Partners with senior management and coordinates activity with the Marketing agency. Monitors media and social mentions and informs relevant parties of key developments. Ensures all distributed information is accurate, timely and consistent with brand standards and corporate guidelines.
Marketing Campaign Management
Partners with Bank management, Marketing Agency, and appropriate line of business owners to plan and execute integrated multi-media marketing campaigns to current and prospective business, government, and consumers. Including, but not limited to, branding, product promotions, events, and sponsorships.
Project Management
Manages, oversees, and coordinates departmental projects related to communications, PR, events and sponsorships and reports on status to the department head and key executives. Ensures that all contributors are working toward a common end and that all components are on schedule. Works within project constraints (resources, budgets, and schedules) and manages through obstacles to project completion.
Marketing Analytics and Compliance
Conducts analysis to gain customer insight. Uses and/or disseminates relevant information to support marketing and product-development decisions (e.g., offers, targeted lists, etc.). Understand business drivers and improve marketing results on an ongoing basis. This includes campaign analysis, success metrics (ROI/KPIs) and special reports. Measures and evaluates campaigns for continuous improvement. Conducts, gathers, packages, and disseminates research to support marketing, product-development and eBusiness efforts. This includes competitive analysis, marketplace trends, etc. Partners with executive management to ensure compliance with applicable Bank policies, laws, and regulations. Keeps abreast of new, as well as changes to existing, compliance rules and regulations. Collaborates with other departments as necessary to ensure marketing materials are compliant.
Events and Sponsorships
Plans and executes bank-sponsored and corporate events, serving a primary role in scheduling and coordinating activity. Acts as the lead to plan all events to ensure successful execution. Coordinates the development of all relevant components while ensuring the Bank’s presence meets brand standards.
Budgeting and Reforecasting
Develops annual marketing budget in collaboration with executive management. Conducts monthly budget reviews and quarterly reforecasting. Ensures that programs are delivered on time and within budget.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Five to seven years in marketing, communications, or extended experience in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Requires knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Social Media Platforms, and a basic understanding of graphics
- Must be able to analyze customer and marketplace trends and look for new opportunities to enhance marketing and products.
- Must have familiarity with most types of modern office equipment and knowledge of online services and the internet.
- Regular attendance is an essential function of this position
Initiative:
Requires the ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously. Must be able to set and work within deadlines. Somewhat diversified duties involving knowledge of a specialized field, requiring the use of a range of procedures and the exercise of judgment in analyzing facts or events surrounding individual problems or actions to determine what actions should be taken within standard practice limits. Requires self-direction, tact and diplomacy working within established policy. Bringing issues to the manager for specific direction operating outside of policy guidelines. Collaborates directly with managers and outside vendors to help meet public marketing and internal communications objectives.
Responsibility:
Errors in this position may be visible to the public or, in other circumstances, difficult to detect. Errors may have adverse external effects. This position interacts with a wide variety of external contacts, generally at the same level or above, such as Web site developers, printers, mail houses, and advertising agencies and with internal departments requiring exchange of information and resolving problems. Must demonstrate excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with all levels inside and outside the department. Works with confidential marketing or data, which if disclosed, might have adverse internal or external effect.
Supervision:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities. This position has regular contact with internal and external individuals and has the ability to influence, provide or obtain information. Must be able to avoid friction to obtain cooperation.
Position Conditions:
Normal. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and speak or hear, is frequently required to stand and walk, is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to travel to attend outside functions and visit branches and events. Must have a valid drivers license.
