Endeavor Health is searching for a Sterile Processing Technician Manager to join the staff full-time!
Location: Northwest Community Hospital (800 West Central Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005)
Pay: Starting at $38.67 and increases based on experience
Shift: 8am-4:30pm, Monday through Friday
**24-hour coverage as needed
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000
Responsibilities:
· Promote effective team relations within the unit and across other departments in addition to fostering an environment that promotes strong decision making and problem solving by staff.
· Develop strong relationships with other departments and senior leaders to promote staff collaboration, efficiency and results.
· Ensures quality control and efficient production of processed products in line with Northshore University Healthy System policies and procedures.
· Implement process improvements based on data/information received via reports & procedural areas.
Must Haves:
1. Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM). Leadership Certification through CBSPD or IAHCSMM must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
2. 5 years SPD/OR experience and familiarity with surgical instrumentation.
3. Bachelor’s degree, 3 years SPD experience or 3 years OR experience; or associate degree with 5 years SPD or OR experience; or High School Diploma or GED with 7 years’ experience with 2 of the 7 years as SPD or OR Supervisor.
