Northwest Compounders is a local, family-owned and operated business located in Beaverton, OR that provides high quality, compounded medications for a wide variety of medical providers, and their patients primarily in the Pacific Northwest but also in 30 states in the US. With a reputation for excellent customer service, product consistency, reliability, and extremely fast order fulfillment, Northwest Compounders' team of highly-trained pharmacists and technicians are dedicated to ensuring all of our patient's compounding needs are met with expedience and personal care.
Our patient demographic is currently comprised of 60% veterinary patients and 40% human patients. 90% of our business is shipped-out, 10% pick up. We do not bill insurance.
Approximately 70 employees, 12 pharmacists, 50 pharmacy techs, several interns and support staff.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site staff pharmacist role. All staff pharmacists participate in a shared work queue operations model where multiple jub functions are executed sequentially and simultaneously throughout the day. The primary functions of this role include but are not limited to: answering phones, taking new scripts, processing prescriptions, patient consultation, DUR, verification and performing the final check on wide variety of compounded medications. New hire can expect to work a variety of shifts (see below) based on pharmacy staffing needs. We are closed on Sundays.
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist license in Oregon
- Strong interest in pharmaceutical compounding
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently and as a team to achieve common goals
- Experience with customer service and handling customer complaints or issues
- Bachelor's or Doctoral degree in Pharmacy
- Experience in veterinary or human compounding is a plus
- Ability to work any of the following shifts: Mon-Fri 6:30am-3:00pm, 9:00am-5:30pm, 10:00am-6:30pm, 11:30am-8:00pm, Sat 8:00am-3:00pm
