We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for concrete cutting, sawing, drilling, and demolition projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary information.
- Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and clients to understand project scope and objectives.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Solicit and review contractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing.
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Prepare and present bid proposals to clients in a clear and professional manner.
- Monitor and update project budgets and cost estimates as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of project schedules and timelines.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating for concrete cutting, sawing, drilling, and demolition projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, NetSuite, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
