About Us:
Northwest Journey is a community-based treatment option providing comprehensive intervention and preventative services to prevent out-of-home placements and promote family stability and individual success.
We offer therapeutic support services for children, adolescents, and families transitioning back to the community from out-of-home placements.
About the Role:
This part-time role requires 6-8 hours of work per week. As a Qualified Treatment Trainee, you will provide clinical services within our day treatment program, including individual and group counseling sessions.
You will work alongside a Licensed Mental Health Professional to aid in role modeling and mentoring staff in providing high-quality treatment services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilitate comprehensive individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
Collaborate with and guide treatment team members in implementing individualized and comprehensive treatment plans.
Participate in team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment issues.
Complete all required documentation.
Develop and distribute treatment materials to meet the needs of clients and staff development.
Assist with groups and interventions as needed.
Requirements:
You must meet qualifications for a Qualified Treatment Trainee as defined in DHS 40.
This includes having one year of graduate-level education in a field related to serving youth with mental illness or severe emotional disturbance.
A graduate student enrolled in an accredited institution can also apply if they are doing a supervised practicum for their graduate degree program.
A person who has completed coursework in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, nursing, or a closely related field but has not yet completed supervised practice requirements may also apply.
