We are looking for personable, outgoing individuals to act as an independent contractor, selling event merchandise onsite at competitions. We are looking for individuals that have 3 Years experience in selling merchandise in a retail setting with exceptional customer service.
About Us
Northwest Designs Ink is an industry leader in on-site merchandising of event specific apparel and memorabilia at High School Sporting Events. Working closely with the event hosting groups we supply competitions/tournaments with event Merchandise on site. We are the OFFICIAL EVENT APPAREL PROVIDER for the New Mexico Activities Association.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a current IRS form W-9 stating your tax ID number prior to payment of any onsite earnings. (This will be verified as accurate and a 1099-MISC will be issued at the end of the year.)
- Must have 3 Years of Retail Merchandise Experience .
- Must be able to speak clearly and in a professional manner with Customers.
- Proof of valid driver's license and insurance. Must be able to provide your own transportation to various event locations (reimbursement for gas and car usage provided).
- Basic math and cash handling skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
- Able to pass a background check.
- Organized and able to successfully multitask effectively.
- Looking for reliable individuals that are 21 years of age or older and have experience in the merchandise Retail Space.
- Clean and professional appearance. As we work at a multitude of sporting events, many of which are family-friendly events, we want to carry ourselves with a high level of professionalism, maturity and responsibility.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of Time.
Position Responsibilities
As an Independent Contractor you will be contracted to take care of event apparel at an event in the area:
- This is primarily a weekend contract, and you have the freedom to decide which weekends you want to work, there will be opportunities to work during the week if available.
- This role requires working events in New Mexico & Southern Colorado .
- Once you accept a contract for a weekend you will 1) Come to the warehouse and big up necessary products items before the competition. 2) Head to the location and setup and sell a variety of apparel garments on site during the event that you accept.
- You will be able to have sufficient products and will be able to print products on demand on site to increase revenue onsite. Each item that is sold you will receive a commission amount.
- You would be setting up tents, tables, registers, etc. and selling souvenir merchandise to high school students at sporting competitions and high school athletic championships.
- Access to a larger vehicle is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
- Fun Sport Setting Environment.
- 10% commission of your sales at the contracted event, with a $100 daily minimum. Paid at the end of the contracted event.
- Car Usage Reimbursement per day.
- Flexible schedule ~ you determine your level of availability, not us.
- Once you except a weekend contract we will build in any expenses (i.e. hotel, fuel, etc.) reimbursed so long as documentation of expenses is submitted.
- Opportunity to be contracted for future events on site (we host weekly local events).
