Driver/Operator - Wendell, ID
Starting rate $31.49/hour and could be higher depending on your skills and experience. Examples include, but not limited to, CDL, equipment operations, etc.
Overtime available.
SUMMARY: Loads bulk blasting agents into blast holes. Drills blast holes. Performs routine and emergency maintenance on vehicles and equipment used at mine site. May occasionally provide temporary personnel supervision. Records loading, drilling and maintenance information on various forms, reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Loads, drills, drives, operate and maintain trucks to load and drill blast holes.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and volume

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Visual abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Job Requirements:
Ø Must be at least 21 years of age
Ø Must be willing and able to learn and understand tasks associated with explosives handling under supervision.
Ø Must be willing to drive, load, unload and assist customers with hazardous materials in accordance with DOT, MSHA, or OSHA regulations.
Ø Must be able to walk, stand, bend, squat, or kneel for long periods of time on frequent basis as well as lift and carry loads up to fifty-five pounds for multiple hours per day.
Ø Must be willing to learn and understand all the health and safety aspects of the blasting and explosives industry.
Ø Must be willing to learn and grow your skills and abilities to the benefit of yourself and others.
